Ida Socher Fox, 79, of Midland, Ohio, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. Her husband of 52 years, Robert C. Fox, survives.
Mrs. Fox was born July 9, 1932 in Hohenpeissenberg, Germany, a daughter of the late Heinrich and Krescenz Muller Socher.
She worked for the G.C. Murphy Company until it closed. She then went to work for Swindler & Sons Florist until she retired. She had a green thumb and loved flowers.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Fox is survived by two sons, Elbert Fox of Kansas City, Mo., and Robert W. Fox of Huntsville, Texas; a daughter, Marcella Creditt of Wilmington; five grandsons, Josh of Batavia, Justin of Louisville, Ky., Aaron of Murfeesboro, Tenn., Ezechial of Kansas City, Mo., and Bradly Creditt of Blanchester; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Heinrich (Elfriede) Socher of Germany and Reinhold (Irmgard) Socher of Germany; and two sisters, Theresa (Walter) Diernhofer of Germany and Lydia (Lynn) Williamson of Trenton, Neb.
