Howard K. Grant of Edenton. Beloved husband of the late Dolly L. Smith Grant, dear father of Michael (Sonia) Grant, Richard (Dallas) Grant, Gregory (Rebecca) Grant, caring brother of Imogene Werner, Nora Walton, Wilma Seal, and 2 brothers and 2 sisters deceased, and proud grandpa of Jessica Smith, Jason Miller, Doug Grant, Scot Grant, Kimberly Newberry, Amber Monske, and great grandfather of 8 great grandchildren. Aug. 11, 2009 at age 87. Howard was a pilot during World War II in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Major after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Edenton Methodist Church, F.and A.M. Polar Star Lodge # 154, Handsboro, MS., the Retired Air Force Pilots Assn., a Kentucky Colonel, Friends of Stone Lick, and the Clermont County Republican Party.
