Howard Edward Lyons of Morrow, OH, formerly of North Ft. Myers, FL and Milford, OH. Born on June 13, 1927 in Cincinnati, OH. Went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2018 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Tamara Lyons and the late Agnes Marie (nee Beagle) Lyons. Loving father of Charlotte (late Bill) Christman, Wayne Lyons, Sandy (Gilbert) Preston, Bill (Gemma) Lyons, Crystal (Earl) McIntosh, Tom Lyons, Tim (Rose) Lyons and the late Tonia Lyons. Proud grandfather of 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Dear brother of Paul Lyons. Cherished son of the late Howard Carter and Mildred Marie (nee Robinson) Lyons. Also survived by several nephews and many dear friends. Howard proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII as a 3rd Class Cook on the USS Sylvanian. He was a recipient of the WWII Victory Medal, American Area Ribbon and Asiatic Pacific Area Ribbon. He retired from White Castle Bakery in Evendale after 26 years as a Maintenance Supervisor. Howard was a faithful servant of God and loved missionary work. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2 PM - 6 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen. Services will be held on Monday, May 7, 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Mt. Repose, 6088 Branch-Hill Guinea Pike, Milford. Interment with military honors, Graceland Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be directed to Morrow Baptist Church, 5876 E. US 22 & 3, Morrow, OH 45152 Pastor Dan Bryant will be the minister for Howard's services.
