Howard E. Mathes, "Gene", 79, loving father and grandfather peacefully passed away on October 30, 2016 at his home in Blanchester, Ohio. He is survived by his brother, Kenny Mathes, his children, Kimberly Mathes, Renee Stemen /spouse Dennis Stemen and Todd Mathes; his grandchildren, Jordan Mathes, Zachary Mathes and Logan Mathes. And his beloved dog and faithful companion Buddy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Karl Mathes, his parents, Alice and Howard Mathes. And his beloved German Shepherd, Cassie.
