Obituary

Howard C. "Bud" Coleman Jr. 71, of Blanchester, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord November 1, 2008. Bud was born on November 12, 1936 at General Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to Howard C. Sr. and Lavina Coleman. Bud was raised in Blanchester, Ohio where he graduated from Blanchester High School. His wife of 49 years, Belle survives. Bud and Laura Belle Gardner married on September 25, 1959 at the First Baptist Church of Blanchester. The Coleman's lived the majority of their life in Blanchester, two years in Milford and at Lake Lorelei for 14 years and then back in Blanchester for three years. He is also survived by three children; Howie (Amy) Coleman of Blanchester, Ohio, Bryan (Denette) Coleman of Blanchester, Ohio and Stephanie Dawn (Frank) Wrobleski of Southgate, Kentucky. He is also survived by his mother, Lavina (nee Whitton) Coleman, and mother-in-law, Lillian Gardner, sisters Sue (Sonny) Acuff and Bev (Mike) Burkhart, brother Randy (Sandy) Coleman and a sister-in-law Ruth (Mike) Kelly. God Blessed Bud with six grandchildren; Michael Coleman, Daphne Coleman, Laura Lakes, Andrew Lakes, Kirsten Coleman and Kinsey Coleman, and great-grandchild Sebastian Tyler Coleman. Bud is survived by many aunts and unlces; Jewel, Charlie, Harry, Alpha, William, Jim and Samuel (Bo) and many close friends including Greg Cunningham family, Fishback family, Brother Don Stanley and the many good people of Welcome Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his father Howard Coleman Sr., father-in-law James Gardner and a brother Donald Coleman. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Bud was a minister of music. He served 49 years as a music director, from 1959 till recent times. Bud traveled with Gospel Trio from his teens to his early 20's. He served God many years of his life in the ministry of music. Most recently as a member of the Welcome Baptist Church in Goshen, Ohio. Bud was master of sales with Sears in HVAC and in 2006 was the top salesman as he was named Best of the Best for Sears in sales. Bud's first job or career as an adult was at Wilmington Casting Company where he was the plant manager for four years. From there he went to Rexair Rainbow as a sales manager for around 10 years and to sales at Brown Pontiac Buick. He was then a general manager for Hageman Pontiac in Cincinnati for 20 plus years. Bud then started two businesses; Coleman Jewelry and Bud Coleman Chrysler Plymouth Dodge. After that he started his sales with Sears where he finished his lifelong sales career. Bud's favorite vacation spots were Cumberland, Kentucky Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. His personal hobbies were music, family life and anything he could do to help others. Bud's favorite saying was "Read my lips! Strong belief and faith in God" "I told you fourty times." "Put this in your little black book." Bud would have wanted everyone to remember him by his singing, his reliability, his commitment to family and service to God. Howard C. "Bud" Coleman will be sorely missed. Pastor Don Stanley of Welcome Baptist Church will be officiating the services for Bud. Pallbearers for Bud are: Andrew Lakes, Johnny Fishback, Josh Fishback, Alex Cunningham, Chris Cunningham, Randy Krauss, Adam Moore, Corey Moore and Brad Crawford.
