Howard "Ben" Dixon of Blanchester, OH. Ben was born July 3, 1918 in Ozark, KY, a son of John C. Dixon and Olive Leach Dixon and passed away October 1, 2013 in Georgetown, OH at the Veterans Home at the age of 95. Ben was a US Army Veteran and worked as a Millwright with GE. He is survived by his wife Ruby Jackson Dixon; children Howard (Gwen) Dixon of Blanchester, Gordon (Frances) Dixon of Clarksville, OH, David (Lora) Dixon of Lebanon, OH, John Dixon of Lynx, OH, Michael (Deborah) Dixon of Clarksville, OH, Donna (Dan) Gallion of Wilmington, OH, Gary (Wanda) Dixon of Clarksville, OH and Debra (Chuck) Reeder of Blanchester; Step-children, Shirley (Donnie) VanWinkle, the late Rudy G. Bowman, Debra (Ken) Robinson, Paula (Willaim) Boerger, Clayton A. (Tammy Gragg) Bowman and Brad Bowman; 20 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren, one deceased; 24 great grandchildren; 12 step-great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and 12 step-great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Elsie V. Moore Dixon and a sister, Constance Fine. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Sunday October 6, 2013 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107 where services will be held on Monday October 7, 2013 at 11 AM. Burial at Clarksville Cemetery with Military Honors, Clarksville, OH.
