Houston "Sammy" Puckett of Cozaddale, OH., passed away on August 6, 2024, at the age of 91. Houston was born on January 8, 1933, in Winchester, KY to Clay and Christine Puckett.

Houston is survived by his beloved son, Danny Puckett and daughter-in-law, Mira Puckett; three grandchildren, Angela Kinsman, Jennifer (Jason) Smith and Matthew (Joyce) Puckett; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; stepdaughter, Anna Parr; also survived by several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Houston is preceded in death by his wife, Mallie Inez (nee King) Puckett; son, David Puckett; two brothers, Clay Puckett Jr. and William Puckett; parents, Clay Puckett and Christine (nee Hall) Puckett; stepson, Rick Nichols; and stepdaughter, Connie Caton.

Friends will be received from 11 AM to 12 Noon on Tuesday, August 13 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 12 Noon. Pastor Phil Hopper officiating.

The burial will follow services at Murdock Cemetery, Hamilton Township, OH.
