Helen J. "Jan" (nee Barkley) Winston of Goshen, OH. Born on August 16, 1942 in Lincolnton, NC. Passed away on January 8, 2021 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of 61 years to George Winston Jr. Loving mother of Theresa Manning, Diane (Daniel) Glatting and Karen (Cameron) Wright. Proud grandmother of Randall Glatting, Tyler Glatting and Travis Glatting. Dear sister of Jimmy Barkley, Chris Hendrick, Dale Barkley, Steve Barkley, John Barkley and the late Carolyn Little. Cherished daughter of the late James R. and Helen (nee Schrum) Barkley. Beloved niece of Margaret Ellis. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. Jan loved her family and her Chihuahua, the late Charlie. She was an excellent cook, wife and loving mother and grandmother. Friends will be received from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM on Tuesday, January 12 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 1:30 PM.
