Helen Marie (nee McFadden) Dowd of Batavia, OH. Went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2022, at the age of 85. Born on January 24, 1937, in London, KY. Beloved wife of the late Donald Ray Dowd. Loving mother of Dennis Dowd, Donna (Bill) Messinger, Dwight (Holly) Dowd and Dorothy (Jeff) O'Neil. Caring grandmother of Megan (Kris) Kalin, Justin (Kacie) Messinger, Andrew (Emily)Dowd, Anna (Austin) Taylor, Maxwell Harmon, Allie O'Neil, Lauren O'Neil, Savannah Dowd and Jack O'Neil. Proud great-grandmother of Riley and Noah Kalin. Dear sister of William McFadden and the late Edna Lovins and Glenrose Hodge. Cherished daughter of the late Ed and Irene (nee Brown) McFadden. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. Friends will be received from 11 AM to 1 PM on Monday, August 29 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 1 PM on Monday.
