Helen M. Berta of Goshen, OH, went home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2024, at the age of 98. Helen was born in Plunkett, Saskatchewan to the late Mike John and Mary (nee Chik) Farago.

Helen was the loving wife of the late Frank M. Berta. Cherished mother of Gail (Mel) Townsend, Barb (Jeff) Dunning, Mike (Renee) Berta, and the late Lorraine Couch and Frank Berta. Proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Dear aunt of Karen Boxwell. Caring sister of the late Irene Bailey.

Helen retired from Goshen Local schools as a bus driver. She was a faithful member of Hill Station Baptist Church. Helen will always be remembered for her strength and spunky personality. She was a fierce competitor in any game she played.

Friends will be received from 11:30 to 1 PM on Monday, August 12 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 1 PM on Monday, August 12. Pastor Phil Hopper officiating.

Interment, Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH.
