Hazel C. Heuer died peacefully on June 23, 2011, at the home of her daughter with her family around. Hazel was born in Youngstown, Ohio, August 5, 1918, to Charles and Elizabeth Maguire, and was the devoted and loving wife of the late George F. Heuer for 68 years. She is survived by her son Douglas of Cleveland Heights and her daughter, Deborah (David Bowers) of Cincinnati, and three grandchildren, Keely Heuer, Eric Heuer, and Kevin Heuer. She also leaves a special nephew, Craig (Sheryl) Neuman, a sister Thais (Robert) Rumble and several nieces and nephews. A lifelong Lutheran, Hazel was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Boardman and an associate member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Loveland, Ohio where she was living with her daughter and son-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, an infant son, her sister and brother-in-law Laverna and Henry Neuman, and by her niece, Karen Rumble.
