Harry died on June 12th at the Bethesda North Hospital, Cincinnati.
Harry Calhoon Ledebur was born on September 3, 1921 in New Brighton, PA to Emma Mae & Linas V. Ledebur. He graduated from New Brighton High School , and with honors from Carnegie Institute of Technology (Now Carnegie Mellon University) in 1942 with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. His affiliations were with Delta Sigma, 294, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Union Lodge #259 F&AM New Brighton, PA.
He was a Mechanical Engineer who specialized in Seamless Tube Mills and an Inventor with patents in USA & Germany. His Business Career started with Jones & Laughlin Steel Corp., Aliquippa, PA and continued as Chief Engineer of Mannesmann-Meer Engineering & Construction Co., Youngstown. Ohio, McKay M-M Machine Company, later Wean United and then Mannesmann Demag Wean, Youngstown, Ohio. Upon retirement in 1968, he formed Ledebur Technical Services.
He is survived by this wife of 50 years Anne Hamrock Ledebur, his daughter Susan (Bob) Bittner of Miramar Beach. Fl., Harry C. Ledebur, Jr., of Kalamazoo, MI, Craig A. Ledebur of San Diego, CA, and Robert L. Ledebur (Keely) of Maineville, OH . He and his wife raised their family in Canfield, OH. Also , leaves 4 Grandchildren, Cal & Wyatt Ledebur, Kelly Johnson, and Michael Bittner. One nephew Gary Ledebur, and nieces Sally Hudson and Nancy Labov, two great grandchildren. Harry was preceded in death by his brother Linas V. Ledebur, Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am Saturday June 23rd at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home in Loveland, OH with a Visitation at 10am.
