Obituary
MESCHER Harry Joe "Socks" of Goshen, OH, formerly of Pomeroy, died May 13, 2010. He was born on July 2, 1947. He is survived by his wife, Vickie L. Whitlock-Mescher, 52, of Goshen, and a brother, Paul M. Mescher, 50, of Goshen. Harry served with 1st Marine Division 3/7 Kilo Company. Vietnam 1967 - 1969. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart with 4 gold stars (5 purple hearts). As well as other numerous combat citations.
