IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Harry Richard
Getter
October 15, 1966 – February 21, 2026
Harry Richard Getter, of Loveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him.
Harry was the loving husband of Jennifer Ryan and a devoted father to Claire (Madison) Edmunds and Harry (Lindsay) Getter. He was a dear and caring stepfather to Stephanie (Brad) Westendorf, Chris (Lynsey) Ryan, Kelly Gibson, and Holly (Jesse) Newport.
He was a beloved grandfather to Jane Edmunds, Alice Edmunds, and Harry Getter. He was a proud step-grandfather to nine step-grandchildren.
He was a cherished son of Joseph Frances Getter and Agnes (Nancy) Getter Evans, who preceded him in death. He was a caring brother to Joseph Getter, Francis Getter, Nancy Burkett, Rose Watson, and Luke Getter, and was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Getter. Harry was also a proud uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Harry grew up in Philadelphia as part of a large, close-knit family that shaped the values he carried throughout his life. At the age of 22, he moved to the Cincinnati area, where he began a long and dedicated career as a lineman for Cincinnati Bell. He remained employed there until his stroke in 2019.
Harry valued his family and friendships above all else. He never met a stranger—only new friends waiting to be made. Known for his warmth and easy going nature, Harry loved to entertain. He was a true grill master and a gifted storyteller, always happiest when surrounded by people, laughter, and good food.
Harry’s family asks that memorial donations in his honor be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati.
Family and friends may be received at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 E. Kemper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45249, on Saturday, February 28th from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m.
