He was the son of Roy and Nina Emerson and married Frances Vogt in 1933. They were married for 55 years. Surviving are two sons, Harry (Shari) Emerson of Pekin, IL, Robert (Rose) Emerson of Pascagoula, MS, 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. One brother, Bernard Emerson and one sister, Lucille Sowder preceded him in death. One sister survives, Charlotte Roberts of Temecula, CA. He retired in 1972 from General Motors Corporation, as General Manufacturing Manager, Fisher Body Division, and moved from Michigan to Sun City, Arizona. He was a charter member of the Palmbrook Country Club, being named Member of the Year in 2002. Memorials can be made to Palmbrook Country Club Memorial Fund for Golf Course Improvements, 9350 W.
