Harry E. Allen born May 1, 1927 to the late Luther and Susan Thomas Allen and passed away May 21, 2013 at the age of 86. On June 6, 1947 he married Ruth A. Curliss who survives. In addition to Ruth, he is survived by a brother Alfred Allen (Phyllis), sisters Vernadene Tucker, Brenda Burton (Roger), Karen Malott (David) and many nieces and nephews and friends. He was prededed in death by two infant children, Lanny and Kathy, a brother Frank Allen and a sister Barbara Smith Family and friends have always referred to him as "The Bread Man" as he worked for many years as an independent distributor for Schaeffer Bakery selling Sunbeam bread door to door. He was a member of the Blanchester Church of Christ where he served as Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and Elder. He served in the Armed Forces during World War II as a member of the Military Police. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107, where friends will be received from 1 PM until time of service. Interment Blanchester I.O.O.F. Cemetery Blanchester, OH.
