Harriet Clarene Scheadler of Pleasant Plain, OH, passed peacefully on September 15, 2025, at the age of 75. Harriet was born on July 16, 1950, in Cincinnati, OH, to Albert and Bernice Frye.

Harriet is the beloved wife of John Scheadler; cherished mother of Gloria (Brian) Powers, Becky Egan, Amanda (Craig) Davidson, and Brian (Bethany) Scheadler; proud grandmother of Jason (Julia) Ashcraft, Drew (Kaitlyn) Ashcraft, Reese Egan, Brynne Egan, Dylan (Lex) Davidson, Sara Davidson, Cody Scheadler, Bobby (Mary) Scheadler, CJ Scheadler, Darius Scheadler, and Nevaeh Scheadler; great-grandmother of Easton Ashcraft, Caysen Ashcraft, Lowen Davidson, Harper Davidson, Violet Scheadler, and River Scheadler; and the dear sister of Dorothy Fry, Janet (Bob) Highley, Doris Dornbach, Stan (Debbie) Frye, Paul (Nancy) Frye, Debra (Kenny) Ashcraft, and Dan (Rhonda) Frye. Harriet is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Harriet is preceded in death by her parents the late Albert and Bernice (nee Doughman) Frye; siblings Richard Frye, Joan Partridge, Shirley Edwards, and Walter Frye; and mother-in-law Clara Scheadler.

Friends will be received on Thursday, September 18, 10am-12noon, at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where a service begins at 12 Noon. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Rev. Bob Highley will be officiating.
