Harold R. Hambel was born on December 7, 1925 to Perl and Mary Grace (nee Grubb) Hambel and passed away on July 12, 2014 at the age of 88. He was a Navy WWII Veteran and retired as a carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Wanda "Ruth" (nee Lansing) Hambel; children Mona (William) Elliott and Mark (Peggy) Hambel; grandchildren Sean Elliott and Brad Elliott; great grandchildren, Emma Lu Elliott; sisters, Alice Rhinebarger; step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Hambel, sisters Florence Smith, Reha Grundy, Dessie Altman and Alta Hanson. Friends will be received from 2-6 PM on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107.
