Harold Boggs, 80, of Mason, Ohio went home to be with the Lord January 2, 2015 at 12:30 pm at Hospice of Cincinnati. He was born April 29, 1934 in Welchburg, KY to Garrett and Lula McGee Boggs. On December 27, 1954 Harold and Imogene McIntosh were married in Jellico, TN. Imogene preceded Harold in death on September 8, 2007. On May 8, 2009, the Lord blessed him with his present wife, Georgia Melton. Harold was called into the ministry in the early 1960's, preaching the Word of God. During his ministry, the Lord used him to start the Greenhill United Baptist Church in Hamilton, OH. Throughout the years, Harold pastored in area churches such as Mt. Zion, Baptist Chapel, Stonelick Missionary Baptist and evangelizing in many other churches throughout his ministerial tenure. He retired as a machinist from General Electric in May of 1994. He was a member of Living Word Missionary Baptist Church. Harold possessed a deep love for his country and he counted it an honor to serve in the United States Air Force. He had a deep love for God, his family, spending time fishing, and watching his favorite collegiate basketball team, the Kentucky Wildcats. He is survived by his wife, Georgia; daughter, Darlene (David) Melton; son, Paul (Marty) Boggs; step-son, Scott (Debbie) Melton; granddaughters, Misty (Steve) Green and Heather (Dale) Carpenter; sister, Eula Mae (Lloyd) Huff; and several other grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leonard Boggs; and an infant sister. Family and friends will be received from 5-8 PM on Monday, January 5 at Living Word Missionary Baptist Church, 8369 Princeton Road, Liberty Twp, OH 45044, where services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 6 with Pastor Mike Callihan of Living Word Missionary Baptist Church and Pastor Shawn Baker of Ambassador Point Community Church officiating.
