Gregg Smith of Pleasant Plain, OH. Born on October 2, 1958 in Oneida, TN. Passed away peacefully on November 26, 2019 at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Jane (nee Fite) Smith. Loving father of DeWayne (Becky) Taulbee, Brandon (Angie) Taulbee, Kelli Smith and Geneva "Sis" (Ed) Byrd. Proud grandfather of Jessie, Tyler and Gabe Taulbee, Bradlee "Nugget", Luke and Brooke Taulbee, Austin Smith, Khirsten Sharp, Bryson Krass, Kaylee "Peanut" Byrd and Remi "Emmy" Byrd. Caring great-grandfather of J.J. Porter. Dear brother of Terri (Mike) Denny. Brother-in-law of Judy Dean, John Fite and Joe (Diane) Fite. Cherished son of Rutherford Smith and the late Frankie June (nee Parson) Smith. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. Gregg worked at General Electric for 38 years in mechanical maintenance. He loved to ride his Harley, eating home cooked meals, taking vacations and cherished his '66 GTO. Gregg was always there for his friends and family and will be greatly missed. Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 3, 10 AM - 12 Noon at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 12 Noon. Interment, South Lebanon Cemetery, Union Township. Pastor Peter Larson will be the minister for Gregg's services.
