Beloved husband of Alana Johnson. Adored father of Ariel Lea Johnson and Allegra Jane Johnson. Loving brother of Jana (Pat) Mulherin. Dear brother-in-law of Monica (John) Boals, Theresa Morr, Cam (Greg) Grayson, and Mint Mosier. Devoted son of the late Leslie and Janet Johnson. Passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at age 59.
Greg was born to Leslie and Janet (Mowrey) Johnson in Pittsburgh, PA on June 23, 1952. He was a 1970 graduate of Malabar High School, a 1974 graduate of Miami University and worked as the Advertising Manager for Harvey Whitney Books for 28 years.
Music was an important part of his life. He was an accomplished drummer performing with the PED-X and Traxx bands in his college days. More recently Greg and his best friend, Craig Nagel, formed the duo "Greg and Craig" and enjoyed performing in the Cincinnati area. Some of his proudest moments were playing in the orchestra section when his daughters performed in their high school programs. He was a member of the Queen City Balladeers.
Greg's family was the center of his world. On August 7, 1983, he married Alana Rae Falter and together raised two beautiful girls, Ariel and Allegra who adored him. He was a devoted member of the Sycamore Presbyterian Church where he was the Director of Technical Services and played drums with the Youth Group and Praise Band.
Family and friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, March 28 at Sycamore Presbyterian Church, 11800 Mason Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45140, where services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 29.
