Gordon Swigert, age 82, passed peacefully Friday, August 4, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanette (Spray) and daughters Teresa (Ronny) Phlsson and Susan (Don) Venderbush, nephew Philip Swigert and nieces, Connie Thompson and Donna Little. Preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Lorena (Schefsky), brother, Ronald, and nephew Rodney Swigert. Gordon retired after 23 years as a foreman at the Allen Company in Blanchester. He was a family man and a handy-man. Rarely was a serviceman required at the Swigert residence. He enjoyed family reunions, birthday celebrations, get-togethers with long-time friends and yearly beach vacations. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11:30am at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio 45107, where friends will be received from 10am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Westboro Cemetery.
