Glenn Anthony Honkomp, age 84, of Loveland, Ohio passed away May 11, 2023. Glenn is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Judith (nee Moeller) Honkomp. Loving father of Clay (Cindy) Honkomp, Christopher Honkomp, Charlotte (Kim) Carpenter, Craig Honkomp, Maria (Chris) Henn, John Honkomp, Catherine (Jarod) Hirsch, Nathanael Honkomp, Philip Honkomp, Peter (Casey) Honkomp and the late Elizabeth Honkomp. Also survived by Gina, Jennifer, Kevin and Kelly. Proud grandfather of Jennifer (Jeff) Honkomp, Anthony Honkomp, Cory Honkomp, Sara Schuff, Ryan Honkomp, Noah Honkomp, Jaclyn (Ryan) Ross, Joseph (Christine) Honkomp, Michaela Honkomp, Elizabeth Henn, Christine Henn, Jessica Henn, Ivy (Derrick) Pollitt, Zechariah (Samantha) Thurman, Samantha (Adam) Stricker, Alexander Hirsch, Leila Hirsch, Jacob Honkomp, Matthew Honkomp, Samuel Honkomp, Thomas Honkomp, Leah Honkomp, Alaina Honkomp and Natalie Honkomp. Great grandpaw of Jaylin Honkomp, January Watts, Olivia Ross, Savannah Ross, Ellie Honkomp, Jacob Thurman and Michael Thurman. Born April 15, 1939 to Charles and Rosella Honkomp. Dear brother of Virginia (Gene) Day and the late Eugene (Joan) Honkomp and Thelma (Richard) Stenger.
Glenn was a long standing member of St. Philip's parish. He retired from Fusite Division, Emerson Electric Company after 49 years employed as a Process Development Manager. He meticulously designed and crafted numerous home and garden projects. If it was broken Glenn always had a way to fix it. He dabbled in a variety of hobbies over the years: horseshoes, darts and building & flying model airplanes. In addition, he was involved for a time breeding and showing Dobermans. Glenn and Judy spent time relaxing together on waterside vacations - especially the beach - Glenn's happy place. Glenn loved summer, soaking up sunshine, grilling out and spending lazy days by the pool with family.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 17th from 9-10:45 AM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N Riverside Ave, Loveland. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at Saint Philip the Apostle Church, 944 US 22, Morrow. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Glenn's name may be made to Elder High School c/o Memorials, 3900 Vincent Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45205.
