Obituary

Glenn Emery Osborn, 81, of Blanchester died Wed. Dec. 17, 2008 at Kindred Hospital in Dayton. Glenn was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Retta Lucille (Frazier) Osborn. They were married July 31, 1948 in Midland,Ohio. Glenn was born May 17, 1927 in Midland,Ohio son of Emery Glenn and Mary Etta (Sheldon) Osborn, both deceased. Glenn is survived by his son Tim (Stephanie) Osborn, and daughter Cindy Osborn, and grandchildren Ashleigh and Andrew Osborn, a sister Mary Evelyn Morrow and brothers Howard Osborn and Robert Osborn. He was preceded in death by siblings Dorothy L. Anderson, Everett L. Osborn, Gladys L. Chastain, and Ruby E.Jacobs. Glenn earned a Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Education, which he used as an industrial arts teacher, driver education teacher, and basketball coach. Glenn served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Westboro United Methodist Church, American Legion Post # 179, Buckeye and American Hereford Associations, Ohio and National Cattlemen's Associations, Farm Bureau, Clinton County and State Retired Teachers Associations.
