I Am Not Afraid of Death
I am not afraid of death.
It's only a part of living.
The very end of living, I know,
But, oh, what a glorious ending.
I'm only being released from this life
For a wonderful entry into heaven.
My saviour and many friends are there.
What a beautiful, glorious reunion!
So, don't weep and mourn when I'm gone.
It's only my body you're burying.
My spirit, which is the real me,
Is floating up to heaven.
No, I'm not a bit afraid of death;
For my Lord is waiting, I know.
He'll welcome me first, I'm sure of that.
Then on to all others there, whom I know.
