Gladys Louise Penny, 92, of Blanchester, died Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 4:45 a.m. at Continental Manor Nursing Home. She was born June 27, 1919 in Brown County, the daughter of Leslie and Anna May (nee Kiley) Gruber. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Stacy A. Penny in 1988. They were married on March 5, 1949. She is survived by two sons, Jim (Jayne) Penny of Blanchester and Jerry (Phyllis) Penny of Clarksville; seven grandchildren Dean and Troy Lynch, Shonda Marburger, Kelly and Kasey Penny, Susie Kerns and David Brannon; 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Mary and Pearl and her niece Eileen Ruble. Gladys workd for U.S. Playing Cards in Norwood and also at St. Urline in Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice in Blue Ash, OH and to Continental Manor Nursing Home Activity Department in Blanchester, OH.
