She was born May 11, 1921 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Harry and Rose Ann (Blecha) Craig. She is survived by her daughters Carolyn (Larry) Turner and Deborah Harper, grandchildren Andrew and Leslie Harper, Rebecca (Karl) Norton, Lucia (Jason) Cox and Leslie Turner, great grandchildren Madalen and Josephine Norton and Jabe and Lyra Cox, sister Barbara (Jim) Allen and brother Ralph Craig and sisters-in-law Betty Ruth Craig, Betty Jane Craig, Eileen Craig and Marjorie Igo, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 70 years, Warren G. Harcourt, her brothers Warren Craig, Larry Craig, David Craig, Bob Craig, and sister Pat Lerman, as well as long-time and loved fishing partner of Gladys and Warren, Jens Andersen of Chicago, Illinois. She and her husband were long-time residents of Maineville, Ohio. Warren built their home over 60 years ago and together they created, from a bare farm field, a nature sanctuary, planting trees and creating beautiful gardens. They shared a love of gardening which they passed on to their children and grandchildren. For the young nephews and nieces, as well as the grandchildren, it was an idyllic place filled with birds, ducks, cats, dogs and assorted other wildlife. All were welcome there. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 PM, May 10 at Grace Community Presbyterian Church at 6246 Turning Leaf Way, Maineville, Ohio 45039. It will be a time to wear bright colors and to celebrate a long, full life, with story telling and joyful and grateful hearts that Gladys was a part of our lives for so many years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the church, to Blue Ash Hospice, 4310 Cooper Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45242 or to the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs Foundation, c/o Sharon Ware, 4252 Waterfront Ct., Fairfield, Ohio 45014, with memo line to read "Wahkeena State Nature Preserve".
