Gertrude Theresa (nee Neumaier) Montag of Sharonville, OH., went home to be with the Lord on July 6, 2024, at the age of 93. Gertrude was born on March 14, 1931, in Cincinnati, OH to Joseph and Catherine Neumaier.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri (Paul) Smith; four sons, Tom Montag, John (Bridget Massaum) Montag, David (Ade) Montag and Ted Montag; eight grandchildren, Mike (Marie) Smith, Mark Smith, Matt Montag, Megan (Brian) Payne, Max Montag, Bryan Montag, Nick (Jessica) Montag and Elena Montag; seven great-grandchildren, Adam Smith, Aaron Smith, Jack Klein, Caleb Payne, Ella Payne, Peyton Smith and Bailey Smith; two nieces, Debbie Montag Galladora and Suzanne Foster; and one nephew, Jim Neumaier.

Gertrude is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Joseph Montag; brother, John Neumaier; niece, Kristine Neumaier Almandinger; three nephews, Joe Neumaier, Eric Neumaier and Michael Glenn.

Gertrude was a member of St. Michael Parish since 1959. She liked to knit, play bridge, garden and do jigsaw puzzles.

Friends will be received from 9 AM to 10 AM on Saturday, July 13 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 11144 Spinner Ave., Sharonville, OH., where A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 AM. Fr. Tom Difolco will be the presiding priest.
