Gerald Neal Ullrich, 86, beloved husband of Mary Lou (Spies) for 63 years, died April 22, 2021 in Loveland, Ohio. He was a loving and devoted husband, supportive and caring father, devoted and proud Papa.
Mr. Ullrich was born on November 6, 1934 in Columbus, Nebraska to Joseph and Winifred (nee Higgins) Ullrich. He grew up on a farm outside North Bend, and graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Fremont. After serving briefly in the army he graduated from the University of Nebraska. He married Mary Lou Spies on August 10, 1957 in North Bend. His career in Finance with General Electric brought the family to many locations throughout the United States. Most importantly, Jerry had a deep faith in God and was fully devoted to his family. In every parish he was involved in, he generously gave of himself through his service.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou; four children, Mark (Tina) Ullrich, Anne (Brian) Farmer, Lisa (Steve) Waletzko, and Julie (Timothy) Bacquet; five grandchildren, Jacob (Ali-Marie) Waletzko, Joan Farmer, Megan (Jeremy) Hazel, Quentin Ullrich, and Neal Farmer; one great grandchild, Jade Hazel. He was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Minarick and Dolores Emanuel, and one brother Raymond Ullrich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday April 28, 2021 at The Community of the Good Shepherd, 8815 East Kemper Road, in Montgomery. Visitation will be at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Drive, Loveland, Ohio, on Tuesday April 27, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
