Gerald S. was born on March 9, 1927 in Dry Ridge, KY. He was a son of Raymond Simpson and Ada Childers Butler. Mr. Butler was a beloved husband of the late Edith Helterbridle Butler and the late Carol Curran Butler. He was a devoted father to four daughters; Judith (Dale) McArthur of Acworth, Ga, Donna (George) Cobbe of Blanchester, Oh, Deborah (Robert) Schuler of Cincinnati, Oh, Brenda Gwin of Cincinnati, Oh, and one son, J. Wayne Butler of Naples, Fla. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Mr. Butler was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Sprott and one brother, Glenden Butler. Mr. Butler retired from the Ford Motor company, Sharonville plant, on July 1, 1981. Mr. Butler was a member of Covington 109 Masonic Lodge and the VFW in Blanchester, Oh. Funeral services will be held Thursday May 29, 2014 at 10:30AM at Tufts Schildmeyer family funeral home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, Oh 45107. Friends will be received from 10AM until the time of service. Interment will take place at Williamstown Cemetery, Williamstown, KY.
