George C. Watkins of Blanchester, OH., went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2024, at the age of 84. He was born on October 13, 1939, in Russellville, KY to Earl and Mary Watkins.
George is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann (nee Tucker) Watkins; daughter: Teri (JR) Weisflock of Blanchester, OH, two sons: Bobby (Becky) Watkins of Midland, OH and Tommy Watkins of Blanchester, OH; 11 grandchildren: Teri (John) Schaefer, Jeremy Watkins, Josh (Nikki) Weisflock, Brittany Watkins, Jessica Weisflock, Ashley Watkins, Lindsay (Doug) Smith, Chelsei Watkins, Kaitlyn (Seldon) McIntosh, Jenna (Luke) Weisflock and Brianna Watkins; 22 great-grandchildren: Faith (Jacob) Schaefer, John Schaefer, Lily Schaefer, Corbin Smith, Maddie Schaefer, Seldon "Sisi" McIntosh, Isaac Mefford, Ayden Horsfall, Jocelynn Shoemaker, Gracelyn Smith, Cartor Weisflock, Ariel Horsfall, Landon McIntosh, Oaklyn Smith, Jasyn Ladnow, Avery Watkins, Jax Kopriva, Kaidon McIntosh, Emma Kopriva, Kendyl Weisflock, Kemper Weisflock and Ely Weisflock; sister: Sally Hobbs, also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents Earl Gordon and Mary (nee Robinson) Watkins; son: Timmy Watkins; grandson: Jason Weisflock; granddaughter: Sierra Watkins; great-granddaughter: Baylor Olivia Weisflock; three brothers: Rudy Watkins, Bobby Watkins and Randy Watkins.
Friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Thursday, May 30 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, where services will begin at 12 Noon on Thursday. Pastor Josh Haines officiating.
Interment will take place at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Union Township, OH.
Following the cemetery service friends and family are invited for food & fellowship at the Blanchester Municipal Building & Community Center, 318 E. Main St., Blanchester.
