George Terwilleger, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather born February 3rd 1941 in Cozaddale, Ohio to Charles and Myrtle Terwilleger. Passed away on February 26, 2012 at Hospice of Cincinnati after a long illness. He was married to Jacqualine Johnson of Glen Hayes, West Virginia on April 8th 1962.
He was the father of DeWayne Terwilleger (Robyn) of Harlan Township, DeLanna Terwilleger-Oeder (Craig)and DeAnna Mengle (David) of Hamilton Township. He has 6 grandchildren, Carl Oeder, Sam Mengle, Corenna Oeder, Cordell Oeder, Dawson Terwilleger, and Corissa Oeder. He has 4 Step-Grandchildren, Dacey Dickerson, Lonnie Dickerson, Kaila Partin, and Hannah Partin. He has 3 Great-Grandchildren, Michael Dickerson, Erin Dickerson, and Matthew Dickerson.
George started working in 8th grade. He was a very highly respected entrepreneur and government official. His impact to our state and local area was tremendous. He served for 32 years as a public servant starting at the Township Trustee and continuing to Township Clerk, County Commissioner, and finishing his career as State Representative.
Mr. Terwilleger served his country in the National Guard and left with an Honorable Discharge. He served on the boards of many civic organizations and was a member of many more. Mr. Terwilleger was a member of the Masonic lodge and received his Masonic 33rd degree. George had a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, attending Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati.
George always had his priorities in line, God first, Family second, Community third and the rest will fall into place. George taught his children and grandchildren that anything is possible once you set your mind to it.
