Gene M. Mason, born on October 10, 1942, in Liberty, Kentucky, passed away on March 22, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Gene's life was deeply interwoven with that of his beloved wife, Rhoda Mason. Raised as childhood neighbors, Gene and Rhoda shared a remarkable bond spanning 70 years, being married for 58 of those years, a testament to their lasting connection and devotion.

Along with his wife, Rhoda, they raised two children: Rhonda Jean Mason and Eric Shawn Mason. His legacy lives on through his four treasured grandchildren, Ethan, Abbi, Clara, and Caleb and two great-grandchildren, Beckham and Scarlet. He also leaves behind his sister, Margaret.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso and Lucy (nee Miller) Mason, as well as his brothers Earl, Ray, Bill, Homer, Kenneth, and Jimmy, and his sisters Effie and Evelyn.

The loss of Gene is deeply felt by all who knew him, yet his spirit remains alive in the hearts of his family.

The funeral for Gene will take place at 12:30PM on March 25, 2026, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W Main St., Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 11AM until the time of service.

Interment will take place at Clarksville Cemetery, Clarksville, Ohio.
