Gene L. Koch, 84, passed away quietly on June 8, 2016, at the Goshen home where he lived since 1956, in the presence of his beloved wife Audrey (married for 62 years) and two of their daughters.
He was a retired Tool & Die Maker and a devoted family man with an excellent work ethic and a great sense of humor. He prayed rosaries for many causes on a daily basis.
Survived by daughters Sue (David) Herd, Kathy (Randy) Whitacre, Mary Imfeld, and Carol (Tim) Farek; sons Jim (Cathy) Koch and David (Theresa) Koch; brother Walter (Ruth) Koch; in-laws Patti Blust, Joe (Carol) Sieber, and Frank (Kathy) Sieber; sixteen grandchildren Karyn (Scott) Forman, Paul (Amy) Whitacre; Nate (Laura) Koch, Ben Koch, Selena (Deep) Ramanayake, Sam Koch (Brittney Meek) , Anna Koch; Matt (Jess) Koch, Tom (Courtney) Koch, Derek Koch (Kyleigh Mose), A.J. Koch; Tyler(Melissa) Imfeld, Jacob Imfeld, Allyson Imfeld; Gus Farek, John Farek; and eight great grandchildren, Chase Forman, Tate Forman, Austin Kube, Charlie Whitacre, Carter Whitacre, Natalie Koch, Noah Koch, Connor Koch.
Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 am on Monday, June 13 at St. Columban Catholic Church in Loveland, Ohio where visitation will begin at 10 am.
Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery near Montgomery, Ohio.
Fr. Larry Tensi will be the presiding priest for the Mass of Christian Burial for Gene.
Pallbearers for Gene are: Matt Koch, Tom Koch, Derek Koch, A.J. Koch, Nate Koch, Sam Koch, Paul Whitacre, Ben Koch and John Farek.
