Obituary

Gary Michael Yearion, 73, passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2026. Beloved son of the late Sherman and late Catherine Yearion, Gary was born on December 27, 1952, in Cincinnati Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Debbie Glick, brother-in-law Craig Glick and his son, Kyle.
Gary is survived by his daughters Jami Pinson (Rich) and Jeannette Yearion. Grandchildren Olivia, Rex and Braxton Pinson. His sister, Jackie Fighter. Nephew and niece Derek Niederhelman and Amber Nichols. Niece Carmen Mazzi and nephew Justin Glick. His sister, Terry Eppert (Doug). Nephew and nieces Ben, Katie and Andrea. His brother, Rick (Mary Jo). Nieces and nephew, Aubrey, Brittany, and Zachary. His partner Diane King.

He proudly served 4 years in the Navy and 38 years at the United States Postal Service.

Affectionately called G Ball by his family, Brother by his siblings, Snack Man by his poker buddies, and GG by his grandkids. Gary was such a giving and thoughtful person, and he never met a stranger. His passing leaves a void that will never be filled.

Gary was a dedicated and loving father to his 3 children. He was always there for them no matter what, and passed on so much knowledge and experience to them. One of the most profound events in his life was the loss of his son, and we are comforted knowing that he is now reunited with Kyle.

GG was such a prominent presence in his 3 grandkids’ lives. He loved going to every activity, sport and school function of theirs, and he always had a bag of snacks for them.

G Ball loved going on special day trips with his siblings, as they would laugh and reminisce together in a way that only tight-knit siblings can.

Gary loved black jack and playing in poker tournaments with lifelong friends. He kept up on all sports and was a fan of so many teams and athletes. G Ball loved going to Reds games with his parents, then his kids, and then his grandkids.

Gary loved classic rock and going to see live music. He was known for his dance moves and was always the first one out on the dance floor.

As we mourn Gary’s loss, we also cherish that he touched so many people’s lives and lived life to the fullest.
Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held on June 2, 2026, at The Lodge at Voice of America Park. Memorial 12:30-1:30, followed by Celebration of Life 1:30-3:30 pm at 7850 VOA Park Dr. West Chester, Ohio 45069.

To honor Gary, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite music, band or sports apparel.
