Gary D. Willey, 77, of Batavia, Ohio, passed away on February 25, 2021 surround by his family. Born on June 22, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of Dick and Betty (nee Gresham) Willey. He was the beloved husband of Diana (nee Kelsch) Willey; loving father of Scott (Stephanie) Willey and Troy (Ceairah) Willey; proud grandfather of Solomon Willey and Collins Willey; dear brother of Bob (Marsha) Willey and Karen (Elmo) Smalley; uncle of Jeff Willey, Camarra Yates, Trish Wiley, and Tiffany Overton; great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. Gary was a family man who adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with his wife and children. He was loved by many and never met a stranger. Gary drove an OTR truck for many years, worked for the state of Kentucky as a lead road construction engineer, and worked the family farm in his retirement. He was a longtime member of the 54 Free Masons. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life service will be held at 11am on March 20, 2021 at Owensville United Methodist Church, 2580 US-50, Batavia, OH 45103, where friends will gather from 10:30am until the time of service.
