Obituary

Freda (nee Tollner) Hill of Hamilton Twp. near Loveland, OH went home to be with the Lord on April 30, 2025, at the age of 101. She was married to the late Harry Hill for over 63 years. Loving mother of Jenny (Roger) Martin, Paul (Virginia) Hill, Jeff (Martha) Hill and the late Dale (Debbie) Hill. Cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Anna Tollner, Johnny Tollner, and Ernest Tollner.

Freda was born in a log cabin in the "hollers" of Kentucky near Augusta on October 20, 1923. After marrying Harry, she spent her entire life in the Loveland area before moving in with her daughter in Alexandria, KY for her final two years due to declining health.

Freda's career was spent as a bookkeeper in her early adult years for several Cincinnati based jewelry stores, but primarily with her husband Harry at their fuel oil business in Loveland, OH. She was an avid student of the Bible throughout her life and regularly taught Sunday School. Freda was a barefoot gardener and was never found without at least a year's supply of frozen creamed corn or jars of green beans. She and Harry loved to travel and visited nearly every state in the Union and several provinces in Canada. At 98 years of age, she authored a book titled, "Kinfolks from Happy Hollow" recounting many of her, and her mother's, life experiences. Her love and generosity for her family and those who know her will be greatly missed.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care of Saint Elizabeth, 483 S. Loop Rd. Edgewood, KY 41017 or to Loveland Christian Church, 12070 N. Lebanon Rd., Loveland, OH 45140.
