Fred Montgomery of Loveland. Beloved husband of 54 years to the late Ruth Montgomery. Loving father of Barb (Dave) Yearout, Maria Montgomery (Justin Wisdom), and the late Missy Montgomery. Proud grandpa of Sydney Yearout and Lexi Yearout. Also survived by his dear son-in-law Michael Tarr and cherished sister-in-law Lu Louis. Passed away July 4, 2023, at the age of 78. Also preceded in death by his parents, William Fred Montgomery Sr. and Norma Tillman.

Fred was an honored veteran of the US Army and loved to tell stories of his time in Germany. This past year he was selected for the veteran's Honor Flight and despite his intense fear of flying he traveled to DC and had the most memorable day.

He was a great big teddy bear who just loved his family and never knew a stranger. Cincinnati sports grew to be one of his favorite past times with his family.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 10 from 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Columban Church, 894 Oakland Rd., Loveland, where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
