Franklin R. Smith, 86, of Blanchester, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Born on December 7, 1932 in West Union, Ohio, son of Ollie and Nola Smith. He was the beloved father of Mike (Pam) Smith, Debbie (Larry) Johnson, and Franklin (Maria) Smith; loving grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of five; dear brother of Mary Jane McCallister and Bonnie (Bernard) Brown. Along with his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Smith; son, Jeffery Allen Smith; sister, Cora Austin; brother, Henry Smith. The funeral service will be held at 12pm on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Blanchester Church of the Nazarene, 10451 OH-28, Blanchester, OH 45107, where friends will be received from 10am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, Ohio.
