Francois X. Grivois, age 92, passed away April 28, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Grivois. Loving father of Ann (Mike) Grant, Frank Grivois and the late Elaine Record and Paul Grivois. Proud grandfather of Aaron Grivois, Melissa (Chad Wiesman) Grivois, Rebecca (Andrew) Warner and the late Michael Record. Great grandfather of Tyler and Noah Wiesman and Khloe Warner. Brother of the late Ernest Grivois, Jeanette Paradis, Juliette Paradis, Yvette Paradis, Yvonne Saucier and Florence Edmonds. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Frank grew up in Fairfield and Belgrade, Maine. He was the youngest of 7 children by Francois and Adele Grivois. He served stateside in the US Army Air Corp during WWII and saw much of the country. After graduating from Maine Vocational Technical Institute, he was hired from there by G.E. Aircraft Engine group in Evendale. In 1955, he married Dorothy (nee Ahlers)and moved to Loveland where they raised their family. He and Dorothy sang in the St. Columban choir for over 45 years. Frank had a great love of the outdoors and especially Maine where he took his family for annual vacations. He was a popular 'Uncle' to his numerous Maine nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews whom he took on many memorable fishing and hunting trips, giving them Indian names and telling tall tales. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell stories. Friends will be received Monday, May 8 from 6-8 PM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Dr., Loveland. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesdsay at 11 AM at St. Columban Church, 894 Oakland Rd., Loveland. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Columban Church.
