Frances Louise (nee Irons) Putman, 83, of Blanchester, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 surrounded by family. Born on October 4, 1934 in Middletown, Ohio, daughter of Donald and Mary Eva (nee Hormell) Irons. Frances was a member and laywoman of the Grace United Methodist Church in Blanchester. She was devoted to helping others and served as a nurse for 40 years. Frances was named Outstanding Woman of Clinton County in 2007. She was a member of the Blanchester Village Council for several years. Her biggest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the beloved mother of Kathleen (Cindi Asbrock) Putman, David (Jennifer) Putman, and Janet (Fred) Freeman; loving grandmother of Elizabeth (Michael) Conley, Jonathan (Kaitlin) Freeman, Adam (Amanda) Putman, Megan Putman, Andrew (Joey) Freeman; proud great-grandmother of Tate, Robert, Camdeon, Quinn, James, and Emmett; dear sister of Fred Irons, Tom Irons, and Alice Irvin. Along with her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Putman; brother, Richard Irons and a sister, Nancy Weatherman. Friends will be received on Friday, February 23, 2018, from 6-8pm at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio 45107. A funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Grace United Methodist Church, 201 E Center St, Blanchester, OH 45107. Interment will take place at Blanchester IOOF Cemetery, Blanchester, Ohio.
