Frances T. McLaughlin of Milford, OH, passed away August 3, 2025, at the age of 94. She was surrounded by friends and piped home by the music of her youth in Scotland.

Frances was born in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland, on September 9, 1930, to Francis and Catie McLaughlin. The youngest of five children, she came of age during World War II and emigrated to Canada in her twenties. There she met The Grail, an international movement of women dedicated to spiritual search and social justice. She became a lifelong member of The Grail and found her way to Grailville in Loveland, Ohio where she made her home for many years. She retired from the Velva Sheen company as a valued employee and assistant to the company's owner, Bill Reilly. In her retirement, she was a dedicated "Curves" member where she made many valued friends.

Fran was a "worker bee", an early riser who would roll up her sleeves and get the job done. Her spunk and quick wit endeared her to her friends. She is remembered for her fortitude and independent spirit.

Fran is survived by nieces and nephews in Scotland, her sisters in the Grail, and her dear friends Mary Ellen Camele, Mattie Sutton-Cloud, Christina Hageman and Cathy Silex.

In a final act of generosity, she donated her body to research at The UC College of Medicine.
