Forrest "Woody" Bishop, of Loveland. Beloved son of Charlotte and the late Harry Bishop, Jr. Loving brother of Michelle (James) Nelson and Patricia (Reed) Leonard. Proud uncle of Robert, Katharine and Aaron Nelson, and Avery and Natalie Leonard. Also survived by numerous cousins. Passed away on February 26, 2019 at the age of 63.
Woody lived in Pittsburgh, PA, Albany, NY and Cincinnati, OH. While living in Pittsburgh, he worked as a Library Technician at Shadyside Academy and was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan. His favorite hobbies were shortwave radio and stamp collecting. He had a deep relationship with Jesus and enjoyed Christian music and bible study. Despite multiple physical disabilities, Woodys life was a testament to the power and endurance of the human spirit in overcoming pain and limitations. The family greatly appreciates the loving support from those who helped care for him.
Friends will be received Tuesday, March 5 from 9-10:30 AM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where funeral services will follow at 10:30 AM. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 6 at 1 PM at Brunstetter Cemetery, Austintown, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Cerebral Palsy, Easter Seals, or The Lodge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
