Evelyn J Jolley (Nee Widmeier) of Cincinnati. Evelyn was born in Chicago Illinois February 17, 1940, to her late parents William Widmeier and Peggy (Bughman) Widmeier. Evelyn is proceeded in death by her husband Jim Jolley. She is survived by her children and spouses, Jim (Cindy) Jolley, John (Julie) Jolley, and Tim Jolley. Evelyn was devoted to her grandchildren; Amber & (Patrick) Frier, Christina & (Alex) Megura, Sara & (Alex) Nguyen, James & (Molly) Jolley, Nicole & (Ben) Michels, Lauren Jolley, Patrick & (Raven) Jolley, and Timmy Jolley. Great Grandchildren; Lillian, Henry, Maxwell, Theodore, George, Camille, Georgia and Galvin. Also survived by special friend Rita Sanders.

Evelyn Jolley, our beloved matriarch, went home to be with our dad and the Lord on September 12, 2026, at the age of 86. She was born on February 17, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois.

Mom and Dad’s journey started together in Chicago, as our father was stationed there while serving in the United States Armed Forces. As fate would have it, both Mom and Dad had substituted for others, one being Mom’s mother Peg in a bowling league. As they say, “The rest is history”. As dad would always say in the later years,” He picked his wife up in the alley”.

Evelyn spent her days working as an executive secretary for numerous Fortune 500 companies. She finished her career for Princeton Schools. But her zest for Life was being a devoted mother to her three sons. A beloved “Grandma” to her grandchildren and “Gigi” to her great grandchildren.

Evelyn had a very endearing and loving personality that just drew people to her. She had an overwhelming spirit and went out of her way to show empathy, compassion, and laughter for others.

Evelyn’s great passion was to be actively involved in Good Shepherd Parish Community, from distribution of communion to head cashier at the Lenten Fish Fry’s. From daily 8:00am Masses to weekly prayer groups.

Evelyn also had a deep devotion to the Virgin Mary and lived her life in that fashion. She will be greatly missed.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a visitation for Evelyn at The Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 E. Kemper Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45249 Thursday October 8, 2026, 10:45am – 11:45am, where a Mass Celebration will take place at 12:00pm noon. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
