Eva Marie (nee Kelly) Hopkins of Midland, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2022, at the age of 84.
Born February 25, 1937, in Morrow, Ohio, daughter of Benjamin and Rhoda (nee Johnson) Kelly. Eva loved her family dearly and spending time with them was her greatest joy. She also enjoyed horseback riding and camping. In more recent years, flower gardening and crocheting became her passions. Eva had the honor of becoming the first female police officer for the city of Morrow. She also served on the Warren County Sheriffs Department for many years along with her late husband. Eva worked as a school bus driver for Little Miami Schools for seven years. She served her community well and will be greatly missed.
Eva is survived by her five daughters, Rhonda (Frank) Roflow, Peggy (David) Foreman, Kimberly (Richard) Turner, Amy Kay McKeehan, and Tammy (Denny) Burnes; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim (Marianne) Kelly and Carol Stone; numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mack Hopkins; son-in-law, Kenny McKeehan; siblings, Thomas Kelly and Charlotte (nee Kelly) Kilburn.
The funeral will be held at 12pm on January 27, 2022, at Anchor of Hope Church, 1235 Settlemire Rd, Lebanon, OH 45036, where friends will be received from 10am until the time of service.
Interment will take place at Morrow Cemetery, Morrow, Ohio.
