Eugene Ernest Hildebrand "Gene" of Goshen, OH, Harlan Twp. was born February 28, 1945 to Ernie and Dorothy (nee Neville) Hildebrand and passed away July 29, 2020 at the age of 75. He worked as a truck driver and enjoyed going to flea markets, working on cars, writing poetry, playing in the barn, watching the "Lone Ranger," and spoiling his kids and grandkids. He was an excellent cook especially known for his chili. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Melody (nee Meyer) Hildebrand; children, Tammy (Chris) Conly, Kevin (Katie) Hildebrand and Michael (Cassie) Hildebrand; grandchildren, Robyn (Adam) Rhein, Kevin (Alyssa) McGill, Sam Hildebrand, Grace Hildebrand, Cole Hildebrand, Alex Hildebrand and Dani Hildebrand; a great grandchild, Lanyn Rhein; brother, Frank (Barb) Hildebrand: a sister Joan (Don) Lohr. Friends will be received from 2-4 PM on Sunday August 2, 2020 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28 Goshen, OH 45122, where funeral services will follow at 4 PM.
