Eugene "Gene" Ernest Marsh of Goshen, OH. Born on December 14, 1929 in Genoa, OH. Went home to be with the Lord on November 17, 2019 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 71 years to Barbara (nee Riffle) Marsh. Loving father of Gary Marsh, John (Maria) Marsh, Eric (Theresa) Marsh and the late Ted Marsh. Caring grandfather of Troy Marsh, Todd Marsh, Zane Marsh, Tessa Meeker, Amber Marsh, Kaleigh Peters, JT Marsh and Scott Marsh. Proud great-grandfather of Jacalynn Wiles, David Marsh, Elizabeth Marsh, Mackenzie Marsh, Malyiah Marsh, Jacob Meeker, Molly Meeker and Indiana Peters. Proud great-great-grandfather of Henry Wiles. Dear brother of Mary Ward and the late Alice Springer, Elizabeth Julian, Robert Marsh, George Marsh, Barbara Kaltenbach, Harriett Lee, Harold Marsh and Jenny McDonough. Cherished son of the late Harry R. and Alice Lillian (nee Hilton) Marsh. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. Gene was an avid sportsman, especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He took great pride in his work as a bricklayer and a stone mason. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019, 2 PM at Branch Hill United Methodist Church, 390 Bridge St., Loveland, OH., where friends will be received from 1 PM until the time of service. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Gene Marsh to Branch Hill United Methodist Church, 390 Bridge St., Loveland, OH 45140. Pastor Ed Fisher will be the minister for Gene's services.
