Ernest "Ernie" Dean McQuitty of Batavia, OH., died peacefully on February 20, 2025, at the age of 68. Ernie was born on December 29, 1956, in Wilmington, OH.

He is survived by four sisters, Joyce (James) Hyland, Geneva Williamson, Sheila (Ron) May and Paula (Gary) McQuitty; one brother, Douglas (Sandra) McQuitty; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.

Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Alfred Sr. and Edna Mae (nee McMullen) McQuitty; brother, Lawrence Alfred McQuitty Jr.; and sister, Sandra McQuitty.

A private inurnment will take place at Goshen Cemetery at a later date.
