Erika Ellen (nee Bluhm) Wirick, 76, of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016. Born on July 22, 1940 in Hannover, Germany, daughter of Aurthur and Dora (nee Stilla) Bluhm. Erika ran Wirick's Grocery in Midland, OH for 22 years. Owning the grocery store allowed her to help families in her community. She was recognized for her selflessness and received the Good Samaritan Award. Later in life she spent her weekends working at the Village Flea Market in Cincinnati, Ohio. However, her greatest passion was spending time with her family. She was the beloved mother of Monica (Thomas) Lee, Lisa Wirick, and Mathew Wirick; loving grandmother of Erika Lee, Timothy Lee, Lindsay Wirick, Lexi Wirick, and Deven Wirick; dear aunt of Becky Bluhm, Ronald Bluhm, and Heidi Ollish. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Aurthur Bluhm; aunt and uncle, Walter and Erika Laue. A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W.
