Eric W. Back of Loveland, OH, passed away October 30, 2024, at the age of 38. He will be remembered for his passion for building and fixing things and fishing. He loved the family fishing challenges and earning the bragging rights for who caught the biggest fish. On his summer trip to Vero Beach, Eric spent most nights out on the beach fishing. His determination caught him a small shark (which he released) and the rare opportunity to see a giant sea turtle come up on the beach to lay her eggs.

Eric started fixing things at the young age of 8 or 9 "working" to help with his father's rental properties. To fulfill his desire to increase his building trade skills, Eric enrolled in Northern Kentucky University's construction management program. Owning his own business, Eric enjoyed the freedom to independently choose and bid jobs. He loved the opportunity to use his creativity in designing the projects he worked on. In an interview with Voyage Ohio, Eric credits his dad with instilling in him that doing his best is important and finishing what he started was even more important. When Eric was asked the question about the challenges he faced in owning his own company, one of his responses was that, "the hardest part of being a small business owner is finding a good life balance…and time for those you love."

Eric is the cherished son of Gene (Liz) Back and Diana Back. Loving brother of Steven Back and Jason Back. Beloved fiancé of Lina Lopez.
